When the Gardens go to war, you'll be back in Galbadia Garden. Cerberus is an optional boss here, found in the middle of the yellow beam that's shining down in the Atrium. If you beat Cerberus it joins you as a GF. If missed, Cerberus can be drawn from the Gargantua boss in the final dungeon much later on.
During the same Garden war subplot, you'll fight Edea inside Galbadia Garden. You can draw Alexander from her.
If missed, this holy GF can later be drawn from Catoblepas in the final dungeon. This giant demonic train is summoned using clues found in the Occult Magazines, but you can also just do it without if you know how. You'll need the following items:.
You can access this onec you have the Ragnarok Airship - just fly to the bottom-left corner of the map and land there. Once inside, there's a blue light in the middle of the room. You need to reach and examine the light there will be fights along the way , and then answer three questions correctly. Here's the answers:. After answering these questions and battling an enemy each time, the third question will summon Bahamut.
Beat it to obtain it as a GF. Eventually, deep within, there is the powerful optional boss Ultima Weapon. This is a very tough fight, but Eden can be drawn from Ultima Weapon during it.
Alternatively, Edan can be drawn from the Tiamat boss in the final dungeon. Once you have the Ragnarok Airship, go to the desert island to the east of the Centra Ruins. Something green can be seen on the island every now and then. Come into contact with it to start a fight with Jumbo Cactaur; beat it to get it as a GF.
Odin is not a junctionable GF; once he joins you, he will have a random chance of showing up in any given battle and instantly killing the enemies. Odin is found in the Centra Ruins, and can be obtained as soon as you can go there with Garden or Ragnarok.
Once you enter the ruins, you have only 20 minutes to reach and defeat Odin. To make this easier, a random encounter reducing ability Enc-Half or Enc-None from Diablos is recommended.
To reach Odin, you'll need to place eyes into a statue to open a door. This involves some basic environmental puzzles and without encounters 20 minutes should be more than enough time. Players are able to battle him by using the Magic Lamp item that Cid gives to Squall before you leave for Timber. Diablos uses Dark Messenger, a gravity-based attack that does damage based on Diablos's level as a percentage compared to the max HP of the enemy that it is being used against.
There are also some useful abilities that Diablos offers, such as Darkside, which increases STR but causes the character to lose some HP, and Mug, which allows the character to steal from enemies.

It's not a particularly strong GF, but it does have some useful abilities and will likely be the first GF that players come across that offers speed increasing abilities.
Additionally, Absorb allows players to take some of the enemy's HP for themselves, while Initiative lets the character start the battle with a full ATB gauge. Players must defeat it in order to receive it as a GF, but a lot of players miss this thinking they are just skipping an optional mini-boss. If you do miss it, you can later draw Cerberus from Gargantua in Ultimecia Castle.
Cerberus's Counter Rockets move casts Double and Triple on all party members. Cerberus also has the Alert ability, which stops the party from being susceptible to back attacks. Cerberus is a great choice for magic users as it has the Auto-Haste and Spd Junction abilities, while Expendx means that only one magic is used instead of two when using Double.
Alexander can be drawn from Edea during your second battle with her in Galbadia Garden, or if you miss it then, you can later draw it from Catoblepas in Ultimecia Castle. It's Holy Judgment attack is holy based and so it is perfect against undead enemies.
High Mag-RF also allows the player to refine certain items into high-level magic. It can refine recovery medicine from items. It uses a water elemental attack called Tsunami , which is also capable of ejecting enemies from the battlefield.
Leviathan's boost option is easier to get to max than the previous GFs'. It can refine items into support magic or GF recovery medicine. It attacks with a Wind -based move called Tornado Zone.
It also has Absorb , which takes HP from the enemy and gives it to the caster, and Initiative , which lets the junctioned character start the battle with the attack gauge full. Pandemona cannot refine anything.

Location: Once you have access to the Ragnarok spaceship, navigate your way to the Deep Sea Research Center which is located all the way in the bottom left corner of the map. Do not move when the pillar pulses, unless you want to engage in a random encounter. Once answered correctly, each question will result in your party fighting a Ruby Dragon.

A god amongst GFs who can strike down all who stand in your way with a single swing of the Zantetsuken blade, Odin operates a little bit differently when compared to other summons. While Odin will not attack you with whatever time you have left, he will wipe your party out with Zantetsuken if the timer reaches zero.
Odin may be nigh-unstoppable, but he finally meets his match by the time you face Seifer once again on Lunatic Pandora near the end of the third act.
Zantetsuken will vanish into the heavens above, and once the fight is complete a new GF will emerge to fill the void left by Odin: Gilgamesh! Unlike Odin, Gilgamesh follows no rhyme or reason in when he chooses to attack, as he appears randomly in the middle of a fight. Location: Gilgamesh will join your party after the final battle with Seifer on Lunatic Pandora and will remain with you as long as you possess his Triple Triad card.
You must unlock Odin before this battle. Eden on the other hand, is a GF who trumps them all.
